Improving English Speaking Ability of PKBM Bina Saiyo Pariaman Students
Peningkatan Kemampuan Speaking Bahasa Inggris Siswa Siswi PKBM Bina Saiyo Pariaman
Abstract
In the implementation of this PKM, PKBM Bina Saiyo, Pariaman, was chosen as the partner after looking at the early research were held at PKBM Bina Saiyo by Gusta, W. et al. (2019) which found that the students English skills were still very low due to conventional teaching methods and techniques. Therefore, the implementation of PKM at BKBM Bina Saiyo used simple conversation role play and miming games as a fun teaching techniques and methods which can improve students’ speaking skills, especially in speaking skills. There were total 16 students of Package C who had joined the program. After carrying out the activities, the PKM team could see significant results in the form of high student interest in participating in activities. High expectation of PKBM of students and teachers that similar activities can be carried out regularly. Furthermore, the teaching method using role play and playing games will also be used during teaching process to increase interest in learning and the quality of students English learning achievement at PKBM Bina Saiyo.
